Time to time when researching stocks i get to a site with very nice analytics. The problem is when you scroll the page down at some moment, the content is blurred out and a login popup appears. But as i am not "working" with stocks too often, i don't want to register. And as the info i need is still there... and being a web developer... yeah, just do some source alterations and voila, you get the content you wanted. But yesterday something interesting happened. After "unlocking" the content, a hiring invitation popped up. I heard before about such invitations hidden in source code, etc, but it's the first time seeing it myself. Way to go guys! ...

Lately i started thinking on my income for retirement and realized i need a source of side income flow. After research i found about such a thing as robo-advisors. As per Wikipedia Robo-advisors or Robo-advisers are a class of financial adviser that provide financial advice or Investment management online with moderate to minimal human intervention. They provide digital financial advice based on mathematical rules or algorithms. These algorithms are executed by software and thus financial advice do not require a human advisor. The software utilizes its algorithms to automatically allocate, manage and optimize clients' assets. There are a lot of them (apparently over 100) right now, but after searcg and research, for myself, i've choosed Wealthsimple and here is why: it's among the best and biggest it's super easy you get a fully diversified portfolio across 10 asset classes based on your personal risk tolerance will handle it all: trading, cash, movements and state...

I am doing ColdFusion development for 17 years and this is the first time it take me SO long to find a full-time remote position. Over 15 of this years i've worked for US based companies from Europe and it never was a very big problem to find the next position. Yes, there was pauses of course between long-term relationships with companies and i was working per project, but never too long. And this was from Europe where we had a big time difference and i had to work US working hours (imagine all time finishing the work at 1am-3am hehe). Almost 2 years ago I moved to Canada and I imagined that finding remote positions will be much easier, right? I mean, no or minimal time difference, easy to reach me by phone when needed and not just skype and emails, etc. Right? NOPE, not right at all! Till last June it wasn't a problem as i worked for a NY based company, but then they didn't get a contract that was expected and the devs was fired. And from that time, for over 9 months i am STILL act...

Few days ago i was playing with MyConnect Server and had to install the JDBC driver for MSSQL in order to save speed tests data to a database. And still no data got inserted into the DB. Checking the logs i found that "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.7 is not supported by this driver. Use the sqljdbc4.jar class library" which was weird as JDBC 4 is exactly what i downloaded and installed. The answer came after checking driver's installation folder. Apparently, because there was both the old and the new jdbc JAR files in the folder, MyConnect Server was picking the old one (sqljdbc.jar) and not the new one (sqljdbc4.jar). So, right after i stoped MyConnect service, deleted sqljdbc.jar and started MyConnect service again, things started to work as expected. It happened to me for MyConnect Sever software, but it easily can happen with any other software that uses jdbc driver. Hope it will help someone....

Believe it or not, but it happened in Belarus. A 40-year old villager wounded the fox from distance and then decided to finish off the animal with the butt of the rifle. When he pulled the fox from the ground, the fox accidentally touched the trigger with it's paw and shot the hunter in the leg. The fox escaped while the hunter got in the hospital. The moral: going hunting, be sure you ARE the hunter. hehe...
