I am doing ColdFusion development for 17 years and this is the first time it take me SO long to find a full-time remote position. Over 15 of this years i've worked for US based companies from Europe and it never was a very big problem to find the next position. Yes, there was pauses of course between long-term relationships with companies and i was working per project, but never too long. And this was from Europe where we had a big time difference and i had to work US working hours (imagine all time finishing the work at 1am-3am hehe). Almost 2 years ago I moved to Canada and I imagined that finding remote positions will be much easier, right? I mean, no or minimal time difference, easy to reach me by phone when needed and not just skype and emails, etc. Right? NOPE, not right at all! Till last June it wasn't a problem as i worked for a NY based company, but then they didn't get a contract that was expected and the devs was fired. And from that time, for over 9 months i am STILL act...

Recently started to get this error for a site that runs on Railo. It's happening only a couple times per day. The "usually helpful" Google was not so this time. So, thought maybe there is someone else that experienced such an issue before and may help? Details: There is already an object named 'cf_client_data' in the database. Error: CREATE TABLE dbo.cf_client_data (expires varchar(64) NOT NULL, cfid varchar(64) NOT NULL, name varchar(255) NOT NULL, data clob NOT NULL) Stack Trace: at net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.SQLDiagnostic.addDiagnostic( at net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.TdsCore.tdsErrorToken( at net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.TdsCore.nextToken( at net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.TdsCore.getMoreResults( at net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.JtdsStatement.processResults( at net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.JtdsStatement.executeSQL( at net.sourc...

Got an interesting email today that may be of interest to CF Community, so pasting it here: In an effort to assist the ColdFusion community, Adobe, and the larger open source world, a few leaders in the ColdFusion arena have stepped forward to form an open source software development group known as 'Team CF Advance'. The primary purpose of this development group will be to advance ColdFusion applications as an open source solution through development and improvement of open source software solutions combined with social marketing to help raise awareness of ColdFusion solutions as a viable open source option against other open source solutions. We will be working in concert with the Open CFML Foundation to build quality open source software solutions in ColdFusion (and various related technologies - e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Booststrap, etc.) and feed them into the foundation as they meet guidelines. This is an open group - developers and designers of any skill level w...

The idea is simple. I guess most of us will agree that coldfusionbloggers is a defacto instance that tells us how much movement there is in ColdFusion Community for a particular day by the number of posts that are agregated. Yes, not all there are 100% relevant but still this is an estimate. At least the best i could think of. So, starting on 03-07-2011 i started time to time to ping cfbloggers and calculate the number of posts for each day. The numbers may not be fully accurate taking in mind time difference, downsides etc, but still should be pretty close. So, i took that numbers and put on a chart getting so a kind of pulse of the coldfusion community. This being said, please welcome cfPulse...
