A while back I wrote about what I think was a similar problem to what you're seeing. Take a look at this post (http://musetracks.instantspot.com/blog/index.cfm/2007/4/17/Writing-Compliant-Pods-for-BlogCFC) and, if it's similar to what you're seeing, I'll be happy to share the code that I used. As I mention in the article, though, there is still one case where it doesn't work properly. It's been a long time since I've looked at my code or the problem, but maybe you'll see something that will help your situation.

BlogCFC caching works like this: There is one cache for the page content inside the layout. Not pods. Just the page content inside. This is ONLY cached on the home page. Not individual blog entries. There is another cache for SOME pods. The Archives pod uses it for example. If your new POD has scope cahce in it, remove it. Simple.
